However, when we are involved in toxic relationships, or living in a state of constant conflict and tension, this can have a negative effect not only our mental health, but also our physical health. Recent research has shown that people in negative relationships have higher levels of heart disease.

Counselling can help you identify and understand unhealthy dynamics in your relationships, manage conflicts better, see your relationships from a different perspective and in doing so, this may help you to make positive changes.

If your relationship has ended, counselling can help you process your feelings in a safe and non-judgemental space. If you are struggling to move on and let go, therapy can help put the focus back on you and how you can recover, heal, gain clarity and discover who you are and what you want for the future. You may not have focused on you for a long time and this may be the opportunity to do it.

Feel free to ring me for a no obligation chat if you are struggling with a difficult relationship and want to know how counselling can help you.

Relationship Issues

It can be very distressing when we are experiencing breakdowns in our relationships, especially with the people who are supposed to be closest to us. When our relationships are healthy and positive, this can help us to thrive in other aspects of our life. Relationships do not necessarily have to mean one with a partner, but can also include family members, children, close friends or work colleagues.
